What does 'air-gapped' actually mean? +
A physical switch on the hardware that disconnects the internet. Not a software toggle. Not a firewall rule. When the switch is off, there is no connection to anything outside your building. No data in, no data out.
How do updates work if the system is offline? +
Updates are delivered through a secure, authenticated channel during scheduled maintenance windows. Your deployment engineer coordinates each update directly. For fully air-gapped installations, updates are delivered via encrypted physical media with integrity verification. No update requires or establishes an internet connection. Your named engineer handles every update personally.
What compliance standards does Dhakma satisfy? +

How do you control which users can access which data through the AI? +
Access is controlled by your existing identity provider (Active Directory, Okta, or equivalent). The RAG engine inherits and enforces all source-level file and folder permissions. Users can only receive answers from data they are already authorized to view.

Dhakma Core fits into a standard server rack and requires the same power and cooling as any other modern server. We handle the complete installation, and your existing IT staff can perform routine maintenance after a short training session.

The architecture is modular. You add processing nodes to the Dhakma Core cluster to increase capacity for more users or larger datasets. Dhakma Edge devices are deployed individually and scale with your operational footprint.
How long from first conversation to a working system? +
Most deployments are operational within 6 to 10 weeks. The first week is a confidential consultation to scope your requirements, data sources, and security posture. Hardware procurement and configuration takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on GPU availability. On-site installation, integration, and team training is completed in 1 to 2 weeks by your named deployment engineer. You have a working system before the first renewal conversation.
What happens if the hardware fails? +
Support agreements include on-site hardware replacement. The system is designed with redundant components so a single point of failure does not interrupt operations. Your named engineer monitors system health and coordinates service before it impacts your workflow.
